Meet the Collector: Nick

As a part of our Thrill of the Hunt series, we're launching an interactive campaign that allows you to show off your heat and tell the stories behind the kicks that make your collection 🔥. This is Meet the Collector, your chance to show why you have the best collection.

Meet Nick Smith, a collector for 15+ years and founder of Souldye Brand, who is also a self proclaimed Nike ID Aficionado - with a ton custom heat to back this claim. Peep below to see what is currently in his rotation, his favorite kicks in his collection, and to check out what product he's feeling on our site.

All of my favorite kicks revolve around the 3 C’s: Comfort, Classic or Colorful or a mixture of them. Regardless of their release date, all of these kicks have stood or can stand the test of time. I try not to keep shoes deadstock and rock them when the rock moment avails itself. Before the pandemic, it could be to a high school basketball game, to the mall, or an event at UBIQ/atmos.

ComfortNike Air Max 1 atmos Animal 3.0 Giraffe, Nike Air Vapormax Cactus Plant Flea Market, and NB 580 “Tennis Ball”
Classic - Nike Dunk SB Low Supreme Red Cement , Nike Dunk SB High Papa Bear, Jordan 1 Retro Fragment and Air Jordan 1 Black and Gold OG Patent Leather,” and 2006 Jordan 4 Retro Lightning
Colorful - Nike Air Max 1 Bespoke, and Nike Kobe 8 “What The Kobe”

In these current times, I’m not going to many places. When I do, I’m in a tech fleece or some kind of jogging suit. Most of the time, I don’t want to spend a bunch of time figuring out which kicks I want to rock, so these are a few that pretty much match whatever I have on—all classics in their own right.

Nike ACG Zoom Air - Super dope addition to the ACG line and great for these cold and wet days we’ve been having in the Philly area.

Atmos Tiger A Tee - This tee would go great with my Atmos Safari AM1’s.

Jordan Delta Breathe - It's not often that Jordan rolls out a new silhouette (that isn’t basketball related) that is actually dope. In a world where designers are stealing silhouettes and throwing their logo on it, it’s nice to see Jordan innovate.

Nike “Better is Temporary” book - A great aesthetic to add to the book collection.
